Mothers Day

By Gina D.h.

Well tomorrow is Mother's Day. I always get a bit sad and teary eyed because I lost my Mom when I was 15. I miss her dearly.

She was strict and didn't take any crap from my three brothers or me, but there was never any doubt in our minds that she loved us unconditionally.

We would never think of disrespecting her or treating her badly. I regret that she's not with us so we could thank her and take care of her as she did us.

My three brothers and I all turned out to be respectable and honorable adults. We have reared our own families and some of them now have children of their own.

Unfortunately, some children of today take life and their parents for granted. Ive heard kids say that their parents owe them. Owe them for what? Its all about them or what we can do for them. Thats pretty sad huh?

The sad thing is that they don't seem to realize just how short life can be. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to us.

So if you are blessed to have your Mom with you. Embrace her and thank her for all that she has done for you. Dont be afraid to express your feelings to her, and tell her that you love her. It doesn't cost you a thing. Im sure it would make her day and put a smile on her face. And she doesn't have to be your biological mother to qualify as your Mom.

So Happy Mother's Day to all you beautiful Mom's out there, where ever you are. God bless you all.

Thank you for sharing this fine Mother's Day story, Gina.
We all may forget, at times, how short life is and how long we may have to spend without our loved ones.
Best to you.
Frederick
